10.16.03
Just a quick note to get you all up to date. First, we have one show currently on the schedule, The Halloween Metal Massacre in Daniels, WV. This will be happening at the Outer Limits, with CORROSIVE and SEVEREN on the bill with us. Second, I've decided to take down the Guestbook. Fans who wish to post messages to us can still go to the OFFICIAL DISARRAY FORUM, hosted and moderated by the good folks at Eclipse Records. To be perfectly honest, we've gotten very tired of what appears to be one or two disgruntled former grommets with more spare time than common sense spamming the damn thing. So as of now, the Guestbook is in data heaven, and may it rest in peace.
In summary, see all of you in Daniels WV on Halloween. Til then, see the rest of you in the Forum.
09.13.03
A lot of news to catch up on. Let's get started.
First and foremost, as has been leaked by DEPTHS OF THE WRECKAGE, Shane Harmon is now officially the drummer for Disarray. The past several shows with him have been great, the writing process is marching briskly along, and the band chemistry has never been better. It's a pleasure to have "Sharmonindez" back in the camp. Everybody make him feel welcome when we hit your town next.
On a related note, we have new pictures up. Most of the new additions are from a surprise show 09.12.03 at The Muse in Nashville with our buddies Deadlock; thanks to Josh from Depths Of The Wreckage for snapping the pics for us. A couple more are from this year's NAMM Show in Nashville. Check out the Photo Section.
Also, thanks go out to the bands we've played with for the past few shows in town. Our brothers in Deadlock, the Sonic Temple guys, Derailed, and all the rest, we appreciate you. As of now, the Tour Section is looking pretty bleak, but this is by design. We continue to write material for the next release, and taking care of long-neglected band business, but rest assured we will be back in harness before you know it. We'll let you know.
06.24.03
This will be quick.
Disarray now has an official web forum, put together by the fine folks at Eclipse Records. You can find it HERE, or follow the link in the Contact section. Pay us a visit.
The show this past weekend in Dickson was really great. Thanks to all the bands who helped put it together and make it a success. We haven't listened to the audio yet to evaluate it for possible release, but whether it sees the inside of a Media Play or not, we'll post some of it here for you. Keep checking.
Maybe if we would stop booking shows, we could decide on a drummer. None coming up, so I guess now's our chance. We'll keep y'all posted.
06.16.03
Website Marty here again, to let you know what's new with Disarray.
We continue to audition drummers. We're getting closer, but we're not quite done yet.
From the Tour Section. The June 28th show in McMinnville is not happening. The venue has been sold to the city, according to Gregg from Deadlock. The Dickson show of 6.21.03 is still a go, however, and will be something special. Founding Disarray drummer Shane Harmon will be sitting in for this show, which will be taped for a potential live CD to commemorate the 10 year anniversary of the band. The show is all ages, so everybody in the area come out for this milestone in Disarray history.
In the meantime, Vance did an interview with Julie from the Rockstarz Rule website. Click it here, or get there from the Press Section.
05.22.03
Not much new, just a quick blurb about the show coming up on June 28 in McMinnville with Deadlock and Incarnate. I told you it would happen again, and I meant it.
Still not sure about who will be playing drums at that point. It'll probably be a surprise to all of us. Auditions continue. When we know, you'll know.
04.24.03
Yeah, yeah, yeah.... I know this is way late, but admit it; you've come to expect it from me, Website Marty. I update when I feel like it, and not a moment before. LOL.
We all want to say a big "thank you" to everybody involved with the Outer Limit show this past Friday night. Starting, of course, with our buddy Bradley Trotter from Dickson band Incarnate, for sitting in with us on drums. You kicked serious ass Brad; we couldn't have done it without you. Followed closely by our old/new brothers in Deadlock. It gives us all hope when we can all forget the petty bullshit and remember why it is we all started doing this in the first place. Grim has put together an excellent band, and more importantly, has proven to be a true friend. We are DEFINITELY going to be doing that again. Kentucky messers Filth Porn delivered, and kept the energy level high. Glad we got to meet you. Also, we've got to say something about Des Moines' Facecage, who drove all the way from Iowa just to play this one show with us. Great band, great guys. You really couldn't have ended the evening with anybody else; if they'd gone on any earlier, nobody would've wanted to go on after. What a set.
The audition process continues. Lots of worthy people stepping up, but we're taking our time with this. When we decide on somebody, he's going to be a monster. We'll update when there's something to know.
As always, thanks for your support.
04.14.03
It's now official. As of 04.10.03, Disarray has parted ways with drummer David "Dave-O" Peridore, who will be pursuing other interests. The split is amicable among all parties concerned. Dave-O has been a valued member of Disarray for over two years, and while we respect and accept the necessity for the departure, he remains our friend, and we wish him luck and happiness in his future endeavors.
Having said that, we will be playing a local show with fellow Dicksonians Deadlock at the Outer Limit on the 18th. A surprise show, with a surprise special guest sitting in on drums for this one. Check the Tour section.
As for the band, we've cleared the tour schedule (except for the abovementioned show), and will be taking time -- as much as necessary -- to find a suitable replacement for Dave-O. The selection process has already begun, and we expect to begin auditions within the week. The identity of our new brother will be announced as soon as a decision has been made.
We'll be back soon, and stronger than ever.
01.18.03
A small update in the world of Disarray....
Yet again, your friend and his, Nathan T. Birk, has been forced to deal with us. Specifically, he spends a huge chunk of the first page of Maniacal Mail (Metal Maniacs' February issue) in a lame attempt to defend himself against "Joe -- Sent Via E-Mail". Read all about it in the updated Press section.
Also, we have a couple of in-town shows for later this month / early next month. Technically, we're still taking it easy, but we told you this might happen. Keep an eye on the Tour section for any last-minute shows.
01.01.03
I've finally gotten up and started moving around....it was a LONG night last night.
We'd like to thank everyone involved with last night's New Year's Eve show here in Nashville: the staff and management of French Quarter, the bands 4Fourty and Dead Air Radio, all the cool folks who partied with us for WAY too long....who else? Oh yeah, a BIG thank-you to Soilent Green frontman Ben Falgaust, who we found sitting at a table in the club when we showed up to load in. A very big, very pleasant surprise. We're all thrilled to see you back on your feet and kicking ass again.
If you've looked at the Tour section, you've no doubt noticed that there are currently NO DATES SCHEDULED. We did this on purpose; after browsing through the list of dates we've played in the past two years, we realized that we have yet to spend any longer than a month at home. So we'll be taking a bit of a break, while we all take care of personal business that has been long neglected. There may be a handful of local or short-haul shows in the meantime; we just don't know yet. We'll also start the process of writing new material, and doing some planning for the future. 2003 is going to be our best year yet, and we're going to make sure we're ready for it.
Happy New Year, and we'll see you soon.
11.06.02
Well, we've been saying it for months, and here it is: FINALLY, new pictures. Some of these are very recent, and some of these go back a couple of years. We thought it'd be good as a sort of yardstick to measure how far the band has come since Dave-O and Vance came to the band, as well as a nod to the legion of people we've gotten to meet along the way.
More later.
10.25.02
Just a quick note to get everyone up to speed.
We continue to work on the tour schedule, and dates are still coming together. The Halloween concert we had planned for the Detroit area has been cancelled by the promoter; all other Midwest and South Central dates are still a go. As always, check the Tour section before hitting the road.
We will be doing a more extensive update in the next few weeks, as we complete layout work for new pictures and revise our links.
Trick or treat.
09.25.02
Another installment of news, exactly one month since the last one. Getting ready to play another local (for at least one of us!) show this weekend; we always look forward to those. We have some more big tour news for the month of November coming up soon. Keep coming back here for the latest.
We knew it was just a matter of time, and now it's finally happened: we got a laptop. The site won't get updated any more than it is now, I just won't have "we're never home" as an excuse anymore. We're just gonna use it to play games and watch smut anyway. Send us your MPEG's.
We've gotten some new fodder for the Press section, most notably from Playa Hata and Jug-Rammer Second Class Nathan T. Birk from Metal Maniacs. Go check it out, along with my personal notes before and after, and tell us what you think of it. Like I always say, there's no such thing as "bad press", just bad journalism.
Til next time, chilluns.
08.25.02
We've been home for about a week now. As always, touring with DBX is a real treat; hopefully our insurance covers it all. We'll be back with the tour starting on 9.6.02 in Wisconsin; in the meantime we'll begin the lifelong task of trying to forget the image of Brockie playing the last song in Austin naked after being divested of his kilt by an overzealous fan. Thanks to the DBX guys, as well as all the clubs' management and staff. Special thanks to the new Disarray Stalkers (Lisa, Amy, and Melissa) for following us all over the South. We'll see you next month, huh girls?
While I have your attention, I want to address a problem we're having. This is primarily for our Street Teamers; we need your help.
In the past several months, we've gotten several complaints from various internet message forum users (most notably from WHITE TRASH DEVIL'S Forum) about our people spamming their message boards. It's one thing if you're a member of a forum posting something there in addition to your normal posting activities. We're asking all of our people to please refrain from "Norman Schwartzkopf tactics" (quick in, quick out, and retire) on boards that you don't frequent. If you do post, make sure it's in a designated area for that sort of post (read: don't post in a forum devoted to another band, unless they have a section for "general discussion" or something similar). And we're asking that NO ONE ELSE post ANYTHING about us on WTD's board; you will NOT be welcome there.
It's a lot easier to turn people off than it is to turn people on, and we don't want to turn anyone off. To the person(s) doing this: we appreciate you, and we know you mean well, but pissing off dozens of forum users does not help us. Please help us out by exercising extreme care in promoting Disarray on forums. Remember, you're representing us. Make us look good.
Okay, I'm done. See you out there.
07.17.02
Once again, sleep deprivation finds me bleary-eyed in front of a computer at 5 AM doing updates. At least I'm getting a head start on the bazillion other things I've got to do and the miles to go before I sleep.
Things are literally happening too quickly to keep up with. We'll be doing our 3rd in-store -- and perhaps a show -- this weekend (all I really know is that it'll be somewhere in the Midwest), we'll be dropping by the NAMM Show here in Nashville before we take off, and there are some other things going on that we can't tell you too much about right now. We're getting new press nearly every day, and almost all of it is really good; stop in the Press section and check it out.
More updates here after I wake up. Mein Gott.
06.30.02
The official CD release party was last night at the Outer Limit here in Nashville, and was a really great time for all of us. Special thanks to Chris McElroy and the rest of the OL staff for throwing the party for us, and local band Bitterbox for sharing the stage with us. Extra special thanks to Johhny Chainsaw and "Tommy!!!" for coming all the way from Chicago to hang out with us, as well as Paul and Co. from Kansas City. Lots of old friends in attendance, plus lots of new faces. Metal is alive in Nashville.
We have received reports from some fans of difficulty in finding the new release in some stores. If you've run into the same problems, click HERE and let us know, so we can notify the distributors.
Lots going on right now. We'll keep you posted as we're able.
06.18.02
Today is the day, folks. The new album, In The Face Of The Enemy, is in the stores NOW. So go pick it up! If it's not in your favorite music outlet, raise hell, 'cause it's supposed to be.
We promise it's worth the effort.
Tomorrow we take off again for a few dates in the Midwest. Check out the Tour section for the latest. See you out there.
06.09.02
Some quick news from the guys:
We're coming up on the June 18 street date for the new release, In The Face Of The Enemy, and as usual, we're busting our asses to get ready for it all. The official CD release party is gonna happen in Nashville on 06.29 at The Outer Limit's Club Hysteria. Those of you within reasonable driving distance need to make this show if you can; it's going to be seriously insane. Details on this show will follow as we get them.
The rest of our show schedule in the Tour section has been brought up-to-date.
The full-length album has just gone to radio, and has been doing very well. Call and request us on your local stations, and listen for us on MusicChoice (digital cable and satellite) and on XM Satellite Radio.
Stay tuned....
05.05.02
This is gonna be a seriously long news update.
First things first. As you no doubt know by now, on the early morning of 04.11.02, while en route to Grand Rapids MI, Soilent Green was involved in a serious traffic accident. Vocalist Ben Falgaust sustained two badly broken legs, while fill-in bassist John suffered a cracked collarbone. The rest of the band escaped serious injury, and they're all home now and recovering, but they were forced to drop off the remainder of the tour. We in Disarray can't tell you how bad we hated that. We enjoyed the hell out of the short time we played with the Green, and while we missed them dearly, we were comforted and relieved to know that Ben and the guys lived to fight another day, and we look forward to sharing the stage with them again as soon as we can.
Since we're talking about the tour, we have to give a huge shout-out to everyone in the GWAR organization, from top to bottom, starting with the band: Dave "Oderus" Brockie, Mike "Balsac" Derks, Zach "Flattus" Blair, Casey "Beefcake" Orr, Brad "Jizmak" Roberts; FOH sound and acting tour manager "Sergeant" Jeremy Smith; Chris The Sample Guy, Marcus "Vending Man" the merch guy, Frankie "Ryder Man" the truck driver, the Slaves: Davis, Matt, Scott, Bobby, and Ron; and the hyper-religious bus driver that was nevertheless such a cool guy to hang out with.
We've been home almost a week now. It's a lot like getting off of a fast-moving train; we're just getting used to our beds all over again. Pretty soon we'll have some more show dates lined up, but for now we're just taking a long deep breath.
We DID do an semi-unannounced show in Muncie IN last night: our good friend Chris Wendt graduated from college and threw a party. Thanks to local messers Misery Theory for sharing the stage with us.
The band may be taking a breather, but the promotional campaign for In The Face Of The Enemy is in high gear. We have secured publicist Veronique Cordiere at V Entertainment Network (Mushroomhead, Megadeth, Misfits, etc...) to handle publicity and PR for us; contact her HERE. The 3-song sampler disc (available from Eclipse Records) went to radio on Tax Day, April 15, so call up your local radio station and request us, and raise hell if they don't play it. In addition, DirecTV's Music Choice Digital Music Service has "Depths Of The Wreckage" in regular rotation on the Metal channel, and we have printed ads for the sampler disc in the current issues of Hit Parader, Metal Edge, Metal Maniacs, and Revolver.
One thing the last road stretch served to teach us: we have reached the point where we can no longer do everything concerning the site ourselves. So there will be some changes. First, we won't be administering our Street Team directly anymore; current Street Team members will be referred to StreetTeam.com for consideration. There are an awful lot of you, so this will take a while, but once it's done, it'll be a much more streamlined and efficient body.
In place of the Street Team Section, we will have a page devoted to press releases, album reviews, band interviews, and related tidbits. Look for this to happen by week's end.
Also, we are talking with some fellow web geeks about helping out with design and updates while we are out doing the band thang. We'll still be doing most of the work for the site, but the practical upshoot is, if a show gets cancelled while we're out, you can find out about it while it's still useful information. More on these developments as we firm things up.
Finally, for all our fans old and new, thank you as always for your support. Without you, it's all a dead circuit. Everybody who took a little time to hang out with us at these shows: you rule, and we won't forget you, ever.
04.07.02
A day off today. More like a "we-don't-have-a-show-tonight-but-I'm-still-busy-as-hell-and-won't-get-any-sleep-tonight-either" day. We'll be back in harness tomorrow for the Urbana IL show with the GWAR "Blood Drive 2002 Tour", and that's how it'll be with us until early May.
We gotta say it, this tour has to be the most fun any of us have ever had on the road. Thanks to GWAR and Soilent Green. You guys are more than tourmates; you're genuine friends.
Tour dates are up-to-date now. We may be in Canada for a few dates toward the end of the run; keep an eye on GWAR.NET for the latest on the itenerary.
Links have also been updated. Some sites have been added, such as Nashville Rock. Thanks to Jerry Work for the interview and the great review of In The Face Of The Enemy. We also cleaned house somewhat, such as in the local band category. If you want to be listed as a "band we like", then give us a reason to like you, such as dignifying us with a response when we talk to you. You jackasses put your pants on one leg at a time, just like the rest of us. Whenever you remember that fact, then maybe we'll have something to say to each other.
That's it for the vitriol. See you on the road.
03.27.02
This will probably be the last update we get to do before we hit the road with GWAR and Soilent Green, so we'll try to get up to date real quick.
First off, we have a limited number of the 3-song sampler discs from the upcoming album. These will be available at the shows (while they last) for $5.00, or for $2.00 P&H you can order one directly from Eclipse Records.
In addition, the sampler disc will go to radio on April 15; the full-length will follow on June 18. Be sure and request it at your local radio station.
Our Tour section has been updated with every show we have confirmed right now. We will be unable to update this until after we get home (read: WAY too late to help you out), so make sure to call the venue to confirm the show is still on BEFORE you drive obscene distances.
I think that just about does it for now. Thanks again to Mary and Denna, Tim McMillan, the Grand Emporium, and everybody who came out for the last couple of shows. See you soon.
02.27.02
Well, we promised you some huge tour news; you got it. Disarray will be joining the second leg of the GWAR "Blood Drive 2002 Tour", from March 29 through May 5. As of now the tour will feature GWAR, Disarray, and Soilent Green. Dates are even now being added to this run; as soon as we get them, we'll post them on the Tour Section.
02.09.02
As you no doubt have surmised by now, spring cleaning has come a tad early for us here....
In anticipation of the upcoming release of the new album (June 18, 2002), we decided to give DisarrayOnline a small makeover. Content and basic layout are pretty much the same, but we've overhauled the graphics and streamlined things a bit to cut down on download times for all of you (us) suckers who still do dialup. Email me and tell me how bad we suck.
In the Tour Section you'll find that we have quite a bit on our plate for the month of March, starting with three dates with GWAR. We also have some HUGE tour news in the works; more to come as plans are finalized. We promise it'll be worth the wait.
01.25.02
Well, what's happening now? Good question....
We're still doing some spotty roadwork, doing rehearsals with the new material, working like mad bastards on the preliminary work for the new release...and oh yeah; we had a computer crash. All the necessary files were backed up, but we had to reload all the editing and file transfer software.
It'll take a bit of time, but we'll have the updates done in a few days, and we're planning a major redesign of the whole site in the near future. Keep stopping in.
12.24.01
2001's winding down now, and we're all taking a bit to reflect on what kind of a year it's been. Aside from all the bullshit that's gone down in America since 9.11, it's been an unforgettable year, on all fronts. Some of it has been incredible, some of it has been undeniably shitty, but one thing I will say: none of it has been boring, and we in Disarray wouldn't have it any other way.
We played the last show of the year Friday the 21st in Columbus, OH, with Clutch, Biohazard, and Candiria. An incredible show; it was a great evening from start to finish. We made a lot of new friends at that show, and we have to thank everybody -- and I mean EVERYBODY -- in attendance, from the bands to the crews to the fans to the guys sweeping the floor, for making it something I know I'll remember the rest of my life.
A quick progress report on the upcoming album: the album art has been finalized and approved. Jeff Gaither has outdone himself on this one, as I'm sure you'll all agree once you've seen it. A couple more things and it's off to the manufacturers. We're still on target for a release date sometime around Easter. In the meantime, we will be adding some more audio samples to the Sound section in the coming weeks. As always, make DisarrayOnline your first stop in your search for all things Disarray.
Merry Christmas, everybody.
11.30.01
Phew. We're back home now, and the new album is now in the can. We're all very proud of the result; this will easily be the best Disarray release yet. We owe a huge debt of gratitude to everyone who busted their asses on this project and who have such undying faith in us: Producer Dave Brockie for being so supportive and encouraging; Mike "Balsac" Derks for driving the board during much of the tracking phase; Jeremy Smith, above-and-beyond engineer extraordinaire; Grant Rutledge at Montana Studios for his invaluable assistance during mixdown and mastering; Brad "Jizmak" Roberts for being such a friend to us; and finally, Davis, Bob, Elaine, and the rest of the denizons of Slave Pit for making us feel at home.
We'll be putting up some more pictures very soon.
We're going to be concentrating on short road trips for the next little while; check out the Tour Section for updates.
11.05.01
You will notice that the month of November is looking a bit bleak show-wise. This is deliberate; we are taking the entire month to work on the next Disarray release, which is tentatively titled In The Face Of The Enemy. Starting on 11.14, we will begin recording in Richmond, VA at the GWAR citadel, Slave Pit Studios. In addition, none other than Dave "Oderus" Brockie will be producing. We're all excited, to say the least.
We have also enlisted artist Jeff Gaither to do the artwork for the album. Jeff has done some incredible work for too many artists to name here, as well as the Eclipse Records Pantera tribute, Panther. You can find his online portfolio HERE.
10.03.01
The Plunder Section is now up. Go buy some stuff; Dave-O's falling away to a shadow.
Also, we have some new shows added to the Tour Section.
09.29.01
Well, we know everyone's been wondering about when we might be getting some new material out there. To that we say: we're working hard to rectify that. The band has just finished cutting two as-yet-unreleased tracks, which we plan to include as bonus tracks on the upcoming Eclipse reissue of the first two Disarray releases (Widespread Human Disaster and Bleed).
In addition, we are tentatively scheduled to enter the studio in November to record the long-anticipated follow-up to A Lesson In Respect. Keep checking here for updates.
Our next road trip will take us to Cincinnati, Jersey, and NYC. We have to keep reminding ourselves that our beloved Big Apple has been brutally and irrevokably changed, and it's a bittersweet feeling for our first show at CBGB's to be overshadowed by the recent atrocities inflicted on New York; indeed, our whole nation. After some discussion amongst ourselves and our families and friends, we've decided that the best way to give an emphatic finger to the cowardly pieces of shit who did this to us is to go on as scheduled and play the show of our lives. To everyone there and elsewhere on our route, we love you all, and we'll see you soon.
08.06.01
Just got off the road from the Cleveland/Nashville shows of the past few days, and we're updating, sleep-deprivation be damned. Had a good time at the World Series Of Metal, hanging out with the guys from Pro-Pain and Mushroomhead (who we'll be playing with again later this month -- see the Tour Section), as well as Chris Lee from Devil Saint and Chris Poland from Eclipse. Drove straight down to play Nashville's Outer Limit for an impromptu show last night that went well; thanks to Big Steve, Calia, and the rest of the OL staff, as well as Kelly, Damon, and Bradley for ramming the roads with us this time out. We're slated to go back out in a week and a half to hit the Midwest, West, and South.
Also, the band has scored some important endorsements in the past week or so; we will be updating to reflect our new equipment suppliers as soon as the deals are done.
In band-related news, Vance did an interview with Kings X bassist Doug Pinnick a couple of weeks ago; we'll have a link for the text as soon as carpal tunnel allows.
Don't let the lack of recent updates to the site deceive you; we've been busy as hell. Sleep, pshaw.
07.07.01
We finally got off our asses and developed some film. Check out the new pictures in the Fan Section.
07.02.01
The June tour is behind us, and I just hope the insurance covers most of it.
Being perpetually on tour is a lot of fun, but it's good to be home for a while. We're taking the entire month of July off to finish writing material for the next CD, which we hope to record later this summer. We may do a show or two here in Nashville while we're at it, so those of you here in "Music City" keep an eye on the Tour section for any last-minute shows.
We've also sent about five rolls of film off to be developed, so look for updates to the Camera and Fan Sections in the next little while. It'll be a good time.
05.29.01
We have completed the May run of shows. Damn, could it possibly get any wilder? Let's start by saying a big "thank you" to Dave Brockie Experience band and crew for being such a joy to work with. Those of you in Muncie Indiana who came out got an incredible show, first with Dave Brockie (aka Oderus of GWAR) doing guest vocals on our rendition of "Freebird", then with Vance doing guest vocals on the GWAR standby "Sick Of You" performed by DBX; thanks guys. Special thanks go out to Lazy American Workers (see the Linkage section) for all the free swag they gave us and being such cool tourmates, and the guys in Chicago's own Johnny Chainsaw for spending obscene amounts of money on beer, food, and hotel accommodations for the bands.
While we're thanking people, we'd like to give a shout to the guys in Pissing Razors (again, see the Linkage section) in El Paso, Barry in Dallas, Daphne and Vhen in San Antonio, the staff at 94.7 The Buzz and Jeff in Corpus Christi, Dave-O's family in Chicago, and Chris in Muncie.
June is going to be a full slate as we hit the road again in a few days. We can't seem to update the Tour section fast enough, but that's still the best place to find out about where we'll be and when. As always, thanks to Chris Lee of Devil Saint for running our asses off.
Our "home video" project is well under way. We're learning all over again that seemingly normal people will do some pretty freaky shit with a camcorder running. We're shooting a lot of footage on the road, with the plan of editing it all together and releasing a Disarray Home Video sometime in the future. See you at the show; we'll make you famous.
03.25.01
We finally got the domain shit squared away, like we said we would do months ago, but hey. It's done now. We've also made good on our threat to add a Fan Section. It's a humble beginning, but like the man said, you've gotta start somewhere. Look for pictures to be added as we get them.
Special thanks to Crowbar for sharing the stage with us in St. Louis and Randolph, NJ, and for being such cool ass people to hang out with. Thanks also to Eclipse Records prez Chris Poland for taking us in and showing us the sights up in Jersey, and everybody who caught us on the last run of shows up north. April will find us doing some limited traveling, as we gear up to do a number of dates with Dave Brockie Experience in May, as well as several shows on our own. We're going to be all over the place throughout late spring and early summer; make sure to check the Tour Section for shows near you.
01.29.01
The January leg of the tour is behind us now, and was a big success. The last show was in Charlotte, NC at Fat City; we all had a really great time. Thanks to the Fat City staff, all the cool folks who came out and supported the scene, and to local band Facegrind for hustling to get the word out. Special thanks to Dave Brockie Experience for putting on such a great show and being so cool to hang out with us; we're all looking forward to doing that again real soon.
Every road trip gets better than the one before, and we owe a big debt of thanks to all the clubs' management and staff, all the support acts that shared the stage with us, and especially to the awesome people we met in each city who came out to the shows and went out of their way to make the trip such a pleasure. We are currently working on a Fan Section where we will be posting pictures and other trivia from all the stops; look for that in the very near future.
We are still putting together show dates for the next few months, as well as taking time to write more material for the next studio effort. We've been playing some of the new stuff live, and the response has been very enthusiastic. Keep checking the Tour Section for the latest show information.

We played the last show of the year this past Saturday night in Nashville at the Next Generation (see the Linkage section); as always, thanks to Woody for throwing the party. We all enjoyed being able to let fly in front of the hometown crowd before we begin our nationwide terrorization campaign in a few days. In addition, we had a semi-unannounced show in Murfreesboro, TN the night before at Gentleman Jim's which went very well.
To everyone who supports us, whoever you are and wherever you may be, have a safe and truly kickass holiday season, and we'll see you in the pit in 2001.

The band has taken a much-deserved break for the Thanksgiving holiday, and will have an abbreviated rehearsal schedule this week in preparation for the first two of three shows to take place in December. Check the Tour section for details on these and other upcoming shows.
We have also begun the writing process for the next recording, and will be previewing the new material throughout the next leg of the tour; that will begin in earnest in January. This jaunt will concentrate on the southern US with a handful of dates in the Midwest.
