This CD stinks. But not because it would be bad; no, it stinks for beer, whiskey and sweat-durchtränkten, cigarette smoke geschwängerten rehearsal rooms. The trio from Tennessee, which consists of Chuck Bonnett (Guitar & vocals), Vance Wright (bass and backing vocals) and Trotter (drums) together, captivates certainly not by very sophisticated arrangements - but it must not be bad, especially if you favour a straight front of the flap gets popped.

It scores with deep grooves, a very dirty guitar riffs sound and that is definitely a punkige, Motörhead-moderate attitude, but ultimately rather Metal naseliti (Motörhead is not really punk), which is a track like the short, crisp "Severed Ties" proves where the singing but also in parts of Mille Kreator sounds.

In addition, Southern rock and rock-and-roll feeling, a little more hardcore and shot a powerful shot Thrash, such as "Observance Of Human Error", where the band Pantera turn some slight influences shows and Chuck Bonnett also be a little in that direction shoutet, where he is otherwise with his rough, rather angepissten singing a little like James Hetfield to Blessed, old Metallica-time sounds, including the emphasis is concerned.

Variety is there, because while with the aforementioned songs, and "Threshold Of Pain" or "Destroy Me" with thrash and hardcore influences works, it is grooving at "It's About Time," "Conform or Better Days (That Have Never Come) "(which also sung a few clean passages - probably by bassist - added) more in the mid-range through the area.

The songwriting can be heard; shine as, for example, the opening "Destroy Me" - basically rather quickly, but before the guitar solo with a groovigeren Passage "- the very hot" Punishment For Being Born "(extremely fat Riffing and tight Drumming ), or the title song with catchy refrains, where you can imagine the best at the concerts to shake fists and mitzugrölen.

Also on the interplay of the three guys can not grumble, but was Urversion of Disarray also in 1993 founded by Chuck Bonnett and "Edge Of My Demise" is for "Widespread human disaster of 1995," Bleed "(1996), 1999-er slice "A Lesson In Respect" and the 2002 released "In The Face Of The Enemy" is already the fifth CD of the group.

Conclusion: A few minor weaknesses, such as the not so intoxicating "Breaking Point" are out, but overall this is a really cool, ass-lieu of a band album, the variety of influences in Chapter, with a sound quite independent of activities, shows that from little man can do quite a lot and, in any case, deserves respect, because they had to work hard all: The first two albums that had them without any support.
